Binghamton baseball sweeps Siena in doubleheader

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – The Binghamton University baseball team swept Siena in a doubleheader on Tuesday. In game one, Ben Anderson threw five innings of scoreless baseball, allowing just one hit to earn his second win of the season. Paul Rufo added three hits and three RBI and Jason Agresti collected four RBI on two hits to lead the Bearcats to victory, 9-0. 

In game two, Endicott-native Joe Orlando earned his second victory of the season, pitching four innings of scoreless baseball. At the plate, Shane Marshall racked up three hits, two runs scored and two RBI as Binghamton completed the sweep of the Saints, 10-0. 

Final scores: Binghamton – 9, Siena – 1 (Game 1)

Binghamton – 10, Siena – 0 (Game 2)

Binghamton (16-27-1, 8-13) hosts UMBC this weekend for a three-game series starting Saturday with a doubleheader. First pitch at noon.
