BROOME COUNTY (WBNG) — The Broome County Landfill is waiving fees to deliver storm debris for resident impacted by powerful flooding in recent days.
Broome County officials announced on Wednesday that tipping fees at the landfill will be waived through August 29.
According to a news release, the waiver is for Broome County residents only. Storm debris from businesses and commercial entities will not be waived.
The required form for the residential storm debris waiver can be found here. Authorities say residents must bring two copies of the form to the landfill when dropping off debris. Haulers bringing debris on behalf of residents must also have two copies of the signed form from the homeowner.
The forms are also available at the Broome County Landfill. Municipalities and haulers have been distributed packets to provide forms to residents, county officials say.
