Driver killed in town of Fenton crash

TOWN OF FENTON (WBNG) – The Broome County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly car crash on Route 369 in the Town of Fenton.

Officials say around 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, a Chevy Equinox was traveling south on Route 369 when it struck a stone barn on the west shoulder of the road.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office, Port Crane Fire Department, Broome Ambulance, Port Dickinson Police and NYS Department of Transportation all responded to the scene.

The name of the victim has not been released at this time. 

Authorities say the crash is still under investigation.
