Father sells flowers to honor daughter killed in drunk driving crash

JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — A local father honored his daughter’s life on Sunday after she was killed in a drunk driving crash back in 2010.

Juan Peña sold flowers in front of the Johnson City Walmart on Sunday to raise money and awareness about drunk driving.

His daughter, Vivianna, was killed in a crash in 2010. Money raised goes toward an educational scholarship at the Owego Free Academy.

“We want to stop drunk driving, we don’t want any family to have the pain that we have to deal every day,” said Peña.

He says family plans to sell poinsettias come the holiday season.
