BROOME COUNTY (WBNG) — Officials from the Broome County Board of Elections say postcards mailed to voters have been causing some confusion.
Board officials say four voters had been sent postcards in the mail stating their voter registration would expire unless they contact the board by October 12. Also, the postcards appear to have been sent to registered Republicans and Democrats in the area, elections officials say.
Voter registrations do not expire, the board states, and those who are registered to vote may do so on Tuesday, November 6.
Anyone with questions about the postcards or voter registration is asked to contact the Broome County Board of Elections at (607) 778-2172.
The Broome County Board of Elections notes it is in contact with the New York State Board of Elections regarding the postcards
