Heavy police response to fight on Susquehanna Street

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — A Binghamton street which has seen plenty of action in the past few days saw some more on Thursday afternoon.

Binghamton police say an argument on Susquehanna Street led to an assault that left one person with a head laceration.

No arrests have been made, with detectives saying the incident is believed to be a personal dispute, not random.

Responders have visited Susquehanna Street multiple times in the past few days. The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed several search warrants at 127 and 129 Susquehanna Street on Tuesday. Five people were arrested as a result of that raid, in which investigators say drugs were discovered.

Binghamton firefighters responded to 129 Susquehanna Street just days later, for a fire at the property early Thursday morning. Nobody was injured in that fire. Investigators are looking into the cause.
