BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — A cool competition had local students putting their skills to the test.
Engineering Day is an annual event put on by Broome-Tioga BOCES.
The gym was packed Thursday morning with 350 kids from 18 different school districts around the Southern Tier.
Their mission was to build a Rube Goldberg machine which is designed to intentionally perform a task in a complicated fashion.
Students got a list of about 60 different items they could use to build their machine.
They had roughly two hours to work, and once the time was up, they couldn’t make any further adjustments.
