School worker accused of having sexual relationship with minor in Bradford County

TOWANDA, Pa. (WBNG) — Pennsylvania State Police arrested a school worker in Towanda who they say had a sexual relationship with a minor.

Troopers say 36-year-old Michele Maynard, from Asylum Township, Pennsylvania, had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl from June to September 2018 while working at the Towanda Area School District.

Maynard is also accused of giving alcohol to the girl, as well as another 14-year-old girl. Maynard is charged with institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors, and underage alcohol offense.

The Bradford County Jail notes it is not holding Michele Maynard currently. 12 News reached out to Pennsylvania State Police for more information, but have not yet received a response.

Calls to the Towanda Area School District went unreturned Thursday. As of Thursday, Maynard was not listed on the district’s online directory.
