Police: Suspects wearing devil masks robbed Binghamton deli

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Binghamton police are asking for your help in locating two suspect who they say robbed a deli on the city’s north side while wearing devil masks and fired a BB gun at deli clerks.

Police responded to reports of an armed robbery Monday just after 8 p.m. at Prince Deli, located at 55 Robinson Street.

Officers say two suspects believed to be men wearing red devil masks with an attached hood entered the store and physically assaulted the staff. Investigators also note one of the masked men displayed and fired a realistic-looking BB gun at the deli clerks.

Police say this is the type of mask used in the robbery, NOT the actual mask

One of the clerks was hit in the face, head, and body, police say. Both of the clerks received injuries during the assault, police say, including cuts, a broken tooth, and BBs embedded in skin.

Detectives note cash was taken from the deli’s cash register before the suspects ran away from the store, last seen on Liberty Street.

In addition to the red devil masks, detectives say both suspects appeared to be between 5’8″ and 6’0″, wearing black clothing and latex gloves, with one of the suspects wearing a dark-colored backpack.

No customers were inside the store at the time of the attack, detectives note.

The robbery is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Division at (607) 772-7080.
