Stolen AR-15, shotgun recovered in Johnson City, police say

JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — An Endicott man faces felony charges after police say they found stolen guns and drugs as part of an investigation into stolen firearms.

Johnson City police say they pulled over 21-year-old Brian Harrison on State Route 201 on Tuesday. Harrison was the subject of an investigation into guns which had been reported stolen from a vehicle in Johnson City.

Officers say they found an AR-15 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, and loaded 9mm handgun. The AR-15 and shotgun were the guns that had been reported stolen.

Investigators further note cocaine and ecstacy was also found inside the vehicle.

Harrison is charged with:

  • Criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony
  • Two counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, a class E felony
  • Two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, misdemeanors

Harrison was arraigned at centralized arraignment and sent to the Broome County Jail, where he awaits further court action.
