Vestal boy’s soccer’s run at back-to-back state titles ends in sub-regionals

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — The Vestal boy’s soccer team’s run at back-to-back state championships ended Wednesday afternoon in sub-regionals at Middletown High School to Cornwall Central. The game was scoreless at the end of regulation. In overtime, Jaiden Pean scored the game-winning goal for the Dragons, ending Vestal’s season.

Final score: Cornwall Central – 1, Vestal – 0 (OT)

It was Vestal’s second game in three games after capturing its sixth straight Section IV Championship Monday night.
