Bridgeport scores seven unanswered as Binghamton sleep walks in Connecticut

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — The Bridgeport Sound Tigers scored seven unanswered goals Wednesday morning at home to race past the Binghamton Devils, 7-3. The B-Devils scored the first to goals of the game in the first period, before Bridgeport recorded the next seven.

Nick Lappin’s team-leading seventh of the season put Binghamton on top and John Quenneville’s shorthanded goal gave the B-Devils a two-goal lead. After seven straight from Bridgeport, Brandon Gignac found the net for the second time this season.

Eddie Lack allowed six of the seven goals before being replaced by Mackenzie Blackwood.

Final Score: Bridgeport (7-5-1-0) – 7, Binghamton (5-6-2-0) – 3

Binghamton is back at home Friday, November 9 at 7:05 p.m. taking on the Charlotte Checkers.
