Binghamton Devils to host Teddy Bear Toss

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – If you’re a hockey fan, you may have heard about the Hershey Bears breaking a world record at their home game against the Binghamton Devils Sunday.

34,798 teddy bears were tossed onto the ice after the Bears scored against the Devils. Now, the Devils want revenge, but it’s all for charity.

On Saturday, the team is hosting its own teddy bear toss. Fans are invited to bring teddy bears to the game, and throw them onto the ice after the Devils score their first goal.

All the teddy bears will be collected and donated to local Toys For Tots organizations.

“We’re just looking to get a good amount here, you know in Binghamton for any type of amount that we can donate is something that can help out, you know around this time of year, so we’re excited to be able to help out Toys for Tots.”

The Devils are offering ticket discounts for the game. For $35, you can get two tickets, plus a teddy bear to throw.
