MEADOWLANDS (WBNG) – When the New York Giants started the season 1-7, not many people thought Eli Manning would make it through the season as big blue’s starting QB. As the team heads into the season finale, Pat Shurmur has once again named Manning the team’s starting quarterback.
Now the question comes if Manning will continue his run with the Giant into next season. In the 93 year history of Giants football, no player has ever played 16 years with the team and next season would be the 16th for Manning. The two time Super Bowl champion has had both his good and bad moments this season behind a shaky Giants offensive line. Manning will celebrate his 38th birthday next week, and isn’t sure if he will be back next season.

“I don’t know, You know, I have not got into that or thought much about that. Just worried about doing my job and finishing this season,” said Giants quarterback Eli Manning. “I didn’t know last year either. So, we’ll figure it out.”
If the Giants are looking for Manning’s successor, they can cross Oregon QB Justin Herbert off of the draft board. The junior was projected to be the number one quarterback in the draft come April but announced Wednesday that he will be returning to Oregon for his senior season.
