Eddie Lack out for season with torn labrum

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Binghamton Devils goalie Eddie Lack is out for the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right hip. The team made the announcement on Monday with a statement saying the surgery was successful and Lack’s recovery time is about six months.

Lack appeared in six games for the Binghamton Devils this season. He went 2-3 in five starts with a .863 save percentage.

Cam Johnson and Evan Cormier are the two healthy goaltenders currently on the B-Devils.

Binghamton Devils head coach Mark Dennehy on Eddie Lack’s season-ending torn labrum:

“We wish Eddie the best,” said Dennehy. “Great guy. Loves the game. Always came to the rink with a smile on his face so him not being here stings for sure athletically as well as culturally. We’re thrilled for (Mackenzie Blackwood) and now Cam and Evan have the chance to battle for the net and that’s a good thing.”

Binghamton is at home Monday night against the Penguins. Puck drops at 6:05 p.m.
