JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — Months after it announced it would leave the Oakdale Mall a local bank branch has closed its doors.
Chemung Canal Trust Company announced in October that the branch located in the Oakdale Mall would move to the company’s Vestal offices when its lease expired in January 2019.
According to a release distributed by the bank on Friday, all of the branch’s accounts have been transferred to the Vestal offices and the branch has officially left the Oakdale Mall.
“The bank reported that no employees lost their jobs as a result of the closing, and customers will be able to take advantage of a drive-thru at the Vestal Office that features extended hours, which run from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to Noon,” the bank’s news release stated.
The Vestal branch is located on Rano Boulevard. There are also branches at 127 Court Street in downtown Binghamton and at 1054 State Route 17C and 203 Main Street in Owego.
