BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — CBS is launching a reboot of Rod Serling’s classic, “The Twilight Zone,” and local fans are excited to watch.
Local Todd Fedyshyn is such a big fan of the show, he helped design an interactive escape room in Binghamton based off of the show.
“His stories were really always creative and just put you in places that you wouldn’t normally feel like you should be in,” said Fedyshyn.
He first heard about the reboot when an ad teasing the show aired during the Super Bowl on WBNG.
“To see this being brought back to mainstream media now in another time, another dimension we’re excited because Rod’s legacy continues to live on,” said Fedyshyn.
Rod Serling grew up in the Binghamton area, so this reboot is big news for the Southern Tier.
The star of the show is comedian and actor Jordan Peele and Fedyshyn couldn’t be more excited.
While Serling won’t be in the reboot, Fedyshyn says, “I think he’s looking down on us right now and saying, ‘yeah carry on.'”
The show is set to debut on April 1 on CBS All Access which is a digital subscription, live streaming service.
It will debut with two episodes.
Following the series premiere, new episodes will be available on demand weekly on Thursdays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers.
