Albany ends Binghamton’s season in heartbreaking fashion

ALBANY (WBNG) – In the America East quarterfinals, Albany scored the last six points to knock off Binghamton, 61-56. The Bearcats had a nine point lead as late as the third quarter.

Binghamton did not get a field goal in the last 6:46 of regulation. This ends the 2018-2019 Binghamton women’s season.

In her last game as a Bearcat, Rebecca Carmody had 19 points and 13 rebounds. According to Binghamton athletics, Camordy finished her career ranked No. 15 all time in Binghamton program history with 1,068 career points and fourth with 819 career rebounds.

The Bearcats are set to return four starters next season including second-team all-conference selection, Kai Moon.

Final score: Binghamton (12-18, 7-10) – 56, Albany (13-17, 10-7) – 61
