BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – The home opener at NYSEG Stadium is exactly one month away and upgrades to the seating are almost complete.
After the last season ended, the 6,000 seats were ripped out to be replaced with brand-new ones.
“The seats were going to have to be removed anyway, but they were also 25 years old,” said the managing director for the Rumble Ponies, John Bayne, “so it only made sense at the time since we have to remove them anyway that we should probably get them replaced and upgrade the fan experience.”
The new season officially begins on April 4th with an away game against New Hampshire.
The Rumble Ponies home opener is on April 11th against the Erie Sea Wolves.
