Bundy Museum screens locally made documentary about A.C.A. massacre

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — While the 10th anniversary of the American Civic Association mass shooting was recognized last week, the community is still holding events to recognize and reflect on the incident.

Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. the Bundy Museum hosted a viewing of “Binghamton Heals.” Another screening is taking place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The documentary entails the tragedy of the A.C.A shootings and how the community recovered.

“Those types of events affect our community in ways we can’t possibly imagine,” says Andy Pragacz, Bundy Museum Public History Program Coordinator. “Something like this helps us work through that and see all the people that went through it and experience that with them to really understand the depth of what occurred.”

The documentary was independently made by community members shortly after the shooting that took 13 lives away.
