Major renovations set to enhance fan experience at Rumble Ponies’ games this season

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — NYSEG Stadium went through several major upgrades this offseason, and the Rumble Ponies say there’s one very simple reason why: you.

Team staff said the fan experience is their top priority, and that these upgrades will go a long way toward making gameday even more enjoyable.

“I think it’s just going to make the fan experience just that much better with the things we have,” said John Bayne, the managing director of the Rumble Ponies. “Each seat has a cupholder now, the high def video board will make the replays and action way more noticeable.”

The new scoreboard in right field is the biggest upgrade. It will be able to project video for the first time in high definition.

In addition to the video board, all 6,000 seats in the stadium are new, the infield was completely replaced and much of the stadium infrastructure was updated as well.

The manager of the grounds said the upgrades will not only enhance the fan experience, but may even limit the amount of rain delays at the stadium.

“In the past, when it rains, we were puddling throughout the baselines, so we had it laser graded,” said Dan Rose. “Now the rain will drain away from the infield and into the outfield.”

NYSEG Stadium will host the Eastern League All-Star Game in 2020.
