Fourth person arrested in connection to Johnson City stabbing, shooting

JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — Johnson City Police say the person they were searching for following a shooting in the village has been arrested.

Police say Spencer Chapman, 20, is in custody and has been charged with attempted murder.

Teenagers Tacoma Chapman, Jonathan Chapman and Caleb Casteline have already been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Police Chief Brent Dodge previously told 12 News people approached a 37-year-old man as he was walking down Grand Avenue last week.

Chief Dodge says the suspects beat the man and stabbed him multiple times with a pocket knife while the man was on the ground.

During the situation, Jonathan Chapman was shot, but was later treated.
