Conti Jewelers selling bracelets to help nonprofit organization

ENDICOTT (WBNG) — Conti Jewelers and the Mercy House of the Southern Tier have teamed up to make a difference.

Mercy House provides a home for people with terminal illnesses.

“I love my job,” said Mercy House of the Southern Tier Executive Director Linda Cerra. “I love working with the community, the residents, the family, and of course our number one team here, including our 270 volunteers, which are priceless.”

The jewelry store has worked with the Mercy House the past three years to sell the bracelets. They cost $25, with 10 percent of each sale going to the organization.

“We have the pink pearl, the rose water jade,” said Conti Jewelers Store Manager Kerry Simmons. “Each bracelet has a sterling silver bead in between each of the beads and it comes with a tag that says, ‘May your blessings be too many to count.’

“It’s very important for the community to help donate and it helps us to continue our operation and caring for those in most need,” added Cerra.

The bracelets are specifically crafted to represent the organization.

“It’s made actually very well,” explained Simmons. “It has a little stretch to it so it’s easy to get on and off and the fact that it has sterling silver in between it and it has a little tag in sterling silver on it that says blessed on it as well.”

Cerra says the money will go a long way.

“This will go directly to the residents’ supplies,” Cerra added. “So everything that we need to operate to care for the residents will go directly towards that.”

The sale runs until May 16. You can either purchase the bracelets in store at Conti Jewelers or call the store at (607) 786-9670 to have them shipped to your home.

“It is very humbling to see the generosity in the community again striving to give back and to help us be sustainable for years to come,” explained Cerra.
