Forecast Discussion:
A quiet night of weather is ahead for us tonight. A few more clouds may linger well east of Binghamton, but for most of the area we expect partly cloudy to clear conditions. Some valley fog will develop. Lows will range in the upper 30s to mid 40s. The Lyrid meteor shower peaks overnight. Look northeast-ish and you may get lucky and see a meteor. The shower peaks an hour or two before sunrise, but the meteors can be spotted at any time and in any location. For more detail, download the Storm Track 12 weather app. We’ll have a Lyrid Meteor shower video posted there.

Some sun is expected Tuesday with more clouds later in the day. There is also a returning chance of rain showers by evening. The chance of rain is 40% and increases to 80% overnight. A thundershower or storm is possible with lows in the low to mid 40s.

Wednesday brings a cloud and sun mix with highs in the mid 50s. Thursday also is shaping up nicely with partly cloudy skies and highs rebounding to the mid 60s.

A low pressure will move into the northeast Friday and bring a good chance of rain. The precipitation chance is 60% with highs in the 50s.

Next weekend is shaping up to be mainly dry with clouds and sun Saturday giving way to partly sunny skies Sunday. Highs will remain in the 50s to around 60.
