High pressure settled into the area today will keep clouds at bay tonight. There is likely going to be a large temperature range from near 36 in the coldest locations to around 45.
Thursday looks to bring partly sunny to mainly cloudy conditions but the forecast looks mainly dry through the daytime hours! There are signs a marine layer develops so we are expecting a wide temperature range from southeast to northwest. Highs may stay in the low to mid 50s southeast and could climb into the mid 60s west with more of a southerly wind direction. Either way, we do not anticipate any organized rainfall. It will be a breezy day with gusts possibly reaching 20-25mph. Rain arrives overnight with lows in the 40s to low 50s. The chance of rain is 90%.
A low pressure system moves into the Great Lakes Friday and brings the highest chance of rain this week. It will turn a bit muggy and highs could hit 70 in a few spots. Most areas likely stay in the mid to upper 60s. The chance of rain and thunder is 90%. By late day rain chances remain around 70%.
High pressure builds in for Saturday with some clouds early in the day eventually giving way to some sunshine. Highs stay in the upper 50s to near 60 with a north breeze. We’ve increased the chance of rain for Mother’s Day. We’re putting it 60%. There is considerable temperature uncertainty. Some guidance has us in the 40s, while others, in the 50s to low 60s. The shower chance remains around 60% Monday.
Tuesday and Wednesday look slightly unsettled with a small chance of showers each day. Highs will be around 61 each day.
