JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — Each year, Broome County residents show their generosity by donating thousands of backpacks and coats to children in need.
This year, Hatalla Orthodontics is taking it a step further and sponsoring its first “Sneak Into Summer” collection drive.
The program asks you to donate new shoes to local children who need them most.
“That’s it, our community is in need 365 days a year. Not just two segments that we’re collecting for so we thought we’d try to develop something for springtime, spring summer,” Dr. Mark Hatala said.
You can drop off new shoes into the Sneak Into Summer Bin in front of Hatala Orthodontics on Riverside Drive in Johnson City.
You can also order a new pair online and have them shipped to Hatala Orthodontics to be donated.
All shoes will be distributed to local children through the Family Enrichment Network.
