A cold front will move through the area late overnight and keep a chance of some showers in the forecast. A few showers could contain heavy downpours. No weather related problems are anticipated. Overnight lows stay in the 50s to low 60s.
Clouds will likely linger early in the day Thursday, but the trend in the afternoon is for clearing to develop. A shower could pop up east of Binghamton through late morning, but the chance of rain is very low. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.
High pressure continues building into the area and dry, sunny and warm weather is on tap from Friday through Sunday. Highs will climb into the mid and upper 70s Friday and could be near 80 in the warmest spots Saturday and Sunday.
The next chance of precipitation looks to come on Monday. Rain could be heavy and this is something we’ll be keeping a close eye on in the coming days. The chance of rain is 70%. Due to timing uncertainties of a cold front arriving, we’re keeping Tuesday rain chances at 60% for now. Highs will be near 70.
