WBNG Named Outstanding News Operation by the Associated Press

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (WBNG) — WBNG recently took home top honors at the New York State Associated Press Association banquet.

WBNG 12 News was nominated in the following categories: Investigative & Watchdog Reporting, Enterprise Reporting, Feature Story, Use of Photography, Digital Presence, Newscast, Best Reporter or Anchor.

Chloe Vincente and Chris Overby won first place for Investigative & Watchdog Reporting for a special report called “Contaminated.”

Jackie Prager, Bob Krummenacker, and Luke Ryan finished in second place for Investigative & Watchdog Reporting with “Hidden Danger.”

Chloe Vincente and Bob Krummenacker won first place in Enterprise Reporting for “Losing Faith.”

Chloe Vincente and Cody Dynarski were awarded second place for “Searching for a Signal.”

Anne Sparaco, Chris Overby, and John Laughrin won first place for Feature Story with “Haunted.”

Chris Overby, Kelly Laughrin, and Chloe Vincente won first place for Use of Photography with video of flooding.

Nicky Hickling, Kelly Laughrin, and John Laughrin finished in second place in the Digital Presence category.

Chloe Vincente was awarded second place for Best Reporter or Anchor.

WBNG 12 News was also awarded the prestigious honor of Best Newscast, submitted by Steve Altieri, Jackie Prager, and Michael Schwartz.
