TOWN OF DICKINSON (WBNG) — Students at Broome-Tioga BOCES came together Friday, in honor of Harper Stantz.
Back in April, students from the Oak Tree program at BOCES partnered with students from the Evertech Academy program to tie-dye shirts that said #E4H. The hashtag stands for Everything for Harper, and Friday students made the hashtag, and the shirts came to life.
They stood in the formation of the hashtag, while a drone flew above to capture a picture.
Teachers at the school say it was a great day for the community to come together, wearing Harper’s favorite colors, to remember her.
“A lot of times we don’t get to do other things with them and the building, you know, different programs are separated so this year we decided that we would do something for Harper by doing something all together and honoring her,” said speech therapist, Brett DiStefano.
BOCES staff say while Harper did not attend the school, she had many friends who were in some of their programs.
