Police investigating armed robbery at Bodega on Clinton Street

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — The Binghamton Police Department is searching for the suspect wanted in an armed robbery at a west side store.

Police say it happened just after 9 p.m. Monday at Bodega, which is located at 56 Clinton Street.

According to investigators, the store clerk reported that a man entered the store wearing a dark-colored mask, displayed a handgun, took cash from the register and ran westbound on Clinton Street.

Police say the clerk was not hurt.

Investigators say the suspect was described as a black male, who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, has a thin build and was wearing a navy blue hoodie or jacket with the hood over his head, black pants and black shoes.

Detectives conducted a search of the area, but no arrests have been made.
