Jack Arpey joined the WBNG team in June 2019 as a multimedia journalist. A May 2019 graduate of the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, Jack earned a Bachelor’s degree in Television and Radio.
At Ithaca, Jack worked extensively at the college’s student-run television station ICTV as both a journalist and producer. During his senior year he was host of the station’s monthly news-magazine, “ICTV Reports,” serving as anchor and cover story correspondent. In addition to “Reports,” Jack was co-host of ICTV’s morning talk show “Good Day Ithaca” and producer of “Bombers Live,” covering home games for the Ithaca Bombers.
Outside of his work with ICTV Jack has interned at Eskimo Productions in Los Angeles, California during the Spring 2018 semester. There, he assisted in the production of television commercials and short films.
While Jack is a proud native of Saratoga Springs, New York, as a child he spent at least one weekend a month visiting his grandmother at her Binghamton home and through her stories became familiar with the people and the places of the Twin Tiers.
In his free time Jack enjoys visiting family and friends scattered throughout the northeast, stopping at every diner and for ice cream stand along the way.
