Man pleads guilty in Norwich raid that yielded 1.8 kilos of meth

NORWICH, N.Y. (WBNG) — Binghamton federal court records show Corey Weidman pleaded guilty on Tuesday in connection to a December 2018 drug bust in Norwich.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office said the raid at 93 E. Main Street was the result of a two-month investigation.

Officials said they seized approximately 1.8 kilos of crystal meth ($180,000 street value), approximately 3 ounces of cocaine ($8,400 street value), approximately 4.5 ounces of marijuana, MDMA, LSD, suboxone, a loaded 9mm handgun and more than $35,000 in cash.

Weidman was one of two people arrested on felony drug charges.

According to court records, Weidman pleaded guilty on Thursday to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

He could face life in prison when he’s sentenced on November 25, 2019.
