BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — St. Cyril’s Parish Festival will take place this Sunday, July 21.
The festival will feature a wide array of Eastern European food, with the main dish being Halupki. Attendees will be able to play games and enjoy live music, including an appearance from Binghamton High School’s Marching band.
12 News caught up with parishioners making Halupki on Wednesday. They’re hoping for a big turnout, as this is the church’s largest fundraiser.
“We have a lot of parish expenses, but we also do a lot of community outreach programs that we use the funds for. We always use the funds as that unexpected expense that comes up that we just don’t have the money for. So the festival keeps us thriving,” festival coordinator Rita Christopher explained.
The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, rain or shine.
The church is located at 148 Clinton Street in Binghamton.
