BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — It was a wet day at NYSEG Stadium Wednesday, but not just because of the rain. The Rumble Ponies teamed up with YES Safe Choices and State Senator Fred Akshar for Super Splash Day.
The stadium was packed with super soakers and hoses and employees drenched the stands to help fans beat the summer heat.
“You just kind of soak the whole ballpark and have a great day for the kids especially with the hot summer,” said Rumble Ponies Director of Community Relations Eddie Saunders.
Super Splash Day is a free event sponsored by YES Safe Choices in conjunction with the Rumble Ponies, where families and local nonprofit organizations can request tickets to enjoy an afternoon game in designated wet or dry zones.
