BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Columbus Park is a little bit brighter thanks to a sparkling new mosaic by Jablon Studios.
Artist Emily Jablon, led a group of students from the BOCES summer youth employment program to complete this project with support from the community and parks department.
City officials say they are using Community Development Block Grant Funding to to invest in local youth.
Jablon, who has created many mosaics across the Southern Tier says, “it’s just wonderful to see the whole community step up and either stops by the studio or comes to the park or the local restaurants, step up every day a different restaurant comes over and donates lunch.”
Jablon Studios is currently working on projects at the Metro Center and Confluence Park.
