EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WBNG) — Friday is the day many fifth and sixth-grade Binghamton Youth Football players have been waiting for.
Approximately 50 of them hopped on a bus to travel to MetLife Stadium, where they will play on the field during halftime of the New York Giants preseason game against the Chicago Bears Friday night.
The students will also meet the New York Giants and participate in pregame ceremonies.
The trip is at no cost to the youth participants.
“This is a once in a lifetime experience for Binghamton youth to play in an NFL stadium in front of tens of thousands of fans,” Mayor Rich David said in a news release earlier this month. “We thank the Mara family and New York Giants organization for showcasing Binghamton’s youth sports programs and the incredible experience they’re providing for kids.”
