BFD: No injuries reported in fire at Parlor City Paper Co.


BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — The Binghamton Fire Department says there were no injuries reported in a fire at the Parlor City Paper Company at 2 Eldredge St. in Binghamton Saturday.

The fire department says a cardboard shredder had caught fire and sustained “extensive” damage, but the rest of the building sustained minimal damage.

Crews had the fire put out around 11:40 a.m.

No one was in the building when the fired occurred, the department says.

The Binghamton Police Department and Superior Ambulance also responded to the incident.

Dispatchers say crews were dispatched to the fire at 2 Eldredge St. around 11:19 a.m.

At this time, dispatchers could not comment if any individuals sustained any injuries in the fire.
