12-year-old hurt in Apalachin hit-and-run

APALACHIN (WBNG) — The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run in Apalachin that left a 12 year-old pedestrian with non-life threatening injuries.

According to the sheriff’s office, it happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday on Pennsylvania Avenue between Barton Road and Van Riper Road.

Deputies say the vehicle, which was traveling south on Pennsylvania Avenue, is described as a grey, possibly dark grey, pick-up truck which sustained damage to the passenger side mirror.
