BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — The Broome County Dog Shelter stopped by Government Plaza in Downtown Binghamton to showcase some of the dogs up for adoption at the shelter Thursday.
The event is called “Pups on Parade.”
Workers were stopping down by the dozens to spend time with the dogs and learn about the shelter’s adoption program.
“Give the workers some interaction with the dogs, give them some stress relief and a break from their day. Most importantly to give the dogs some social interaction and give them some exposure so hopefully they’ll find that forever home,” said Director of Security James Dadamio.
The mission of the Broome County Dog Shelter is to care for stray and unwanted dogs in our community and to eventually place them in loving families.
