Cal Dymowski joined the WBNG News Team in July 2019 as both a multimedia journalist and producer.
A May 2019 graduate from Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications, Cal earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism.
While at Ithaca College, Cal was a part of the student-run television station, ICTV, the award-winning radio station, WICB, and hosted a weekly sports podcast for the school’s newspaper, The Ithacan.
Cal served as a sports debate show host, a play-by-play voice for Ithaca College Men’s Basketball, and produced live sports shows his junior and senior years.
Additionally, Cal interned with Syracuse’s CNYCentral in their sports department, as well as with his local paper, The Cecil Whig, in Elkton, Maryland. It was through these internships where he fell in love with journalism.
Working with fellow WBNG reporter Katie Jones, Cal co-produced and co-directed a documentary about Alzheimer’s and the effects it has on loved ones. The film was given Award of Excellence by the Videographer Awards in July 2019.
Cal is excited to be working in the Southern Tier and serving the local community. If you have any good places for him to visit or dine at, or have any interesting story ideas, feel free to reach him a email@example.com.
