VESTAL (WBNG) — The Pump N’ Run, hosted by the Vestal Coal House, is raising money to benefit the Maine-Endwell Assisting Local Spartans (M-EALS) program.
The program helps families in the Maine-Endwell Central School District by supplying meals for students over weekends and holiday breaks. No district funds go toward the program, but people running in the 5K are there to help.
“It’s a great way to do something that we love to do and support a great cause. We’re very grateful for our community sponsors and the people who go out of their way to be able to support programs like ours, because without that we wouldn’t be able to do this,” said Rachel Murat, founder of the M-EALS program.
Synergy Athletics and CoreLife were two of many sponsors at the event.
Sponsors were to support students in need.
