Sports Overtime: Week 6 – Saturday

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) —Saturday brought another day of the 2019 football season in Section IV. Check out 12 Sports’ highlights as Sports Overtime takes you through all the action.

Walton (5-1) 64 , Harpursville/Afton (2-4) 36

Deposit/Hancock (2-4) 50 , Delhi (4-2) 56

“Oh my God, it was absolutely crazy, we set out with a goal and we knew we had to win this game to go to sectionals. We all had a job and we went out there and did it. We always push, we have a mentality that we are never satisfied and we came out here and we weren’t. We went up but we came out here at halftime and knew it was zero to zero and we had to score and we had to win,” said Delhi senior Warren Pardee.

Whitney Point (4-2) 54 , Sidney (4-2) 42

“It was a competitive game and everybody was fighting as hard as they could, but I’m proud of our guys, they stuck to the plan, kept chugging and didn’t let the things get them down that could have gotten them down,” said Whitney Point head coach Bill Davis.

“Just awesome to knock off a team like that. A lot of respect to them, they’re a great team, but no words honestly it was awesome, I’ll remember that forever, this builds a bunch of confidence with a good team like that. We just gotta stay humble and keep going,” said Whitney Point senior Tanner Kallfelz.

Newark Valley (3-3) 44, Dryden (3-3) 12
