(WBNG) — The Johnson City Elementary School was getting the maple experience yesterday thanks to the New York State Maple Producers Association mobile exhibit.
It’s traveling across our area this week, making a sweet stop in Johnson City.
Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo was hosting the exhibit, making sure the money for this traveling treat was in this year’s state budget.
Rep. Donna Lupardo said, “we also want to help not only kids understand where maple syrup comes from but also what real maple syrup tastes like”
Lupardo said she hopes to see the maple industry in New York expand in the future.
The mobile exhibit will be heading to Woodrow Wilson and Horace Man Elementary Schools today to continue the sweet pit-stops.
