We do not need it, but a weekend soaker is looming

Tonight: Partly cloudy to clear. Wind: SW 3-8 Low: 34-41

Thursday: Partly cloudy to sunny. Wind: SW 7-12G25 High: 60-65

Thursday Night: Variable clouds. Wind: Light Low: 40-46

Forecast Discussion:

A cool, clear night is on tap tonight with lows in the 30s to around 40. The clear skies continue into Thursday morning before a few more clouds arrive in the afternoon. Thursday should be one of the warmest days of the week with highs in the 60s.

The next chance of rain comes later Friday afternoon and evening with a 30% chance of precipitation. There is some uncertainty in Friday’s forecast. A front could be draped across the area and depending on where it is located, could increase our rain chances or increase our temperatures. We’re keeping a small chance in the forecast for now with highs in the mid 50s. Saturday looks dry with partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies. Highs Saturday climb to around 54 again.

There has been a change to the forecast for Sunday. We’ve increased the chance of rain to 70%. It is shaping up to potentially be a washout with periodically steady to heavy rainfall. We don’t think there will be enough rain to cause any serious issues, but soils are quite wet, so this will need to be watched. Highs rise into the upper 50s.

Monday and Tuesday are shaping up dry before a chance of rain returns Wednesday. High each day will be in the upper 50s.
