Elmira Police Department asks for public’s assistance locating missing dog

ELMIRA (WBNG) — Elmira Animal Control says it would like the public’s help finding a lost Old English Bulldog named Morgan.

According to the Elmira Police Department, Morgan is 3-years-old and went missing when she chased a squirrel into a wooded area and never returned on Sept. 18 on Erie Street.

Police describe Morgan to be a brindled colored dog with a white face and white paws, a stub tail, and is wearing a purple dog collar with tags.

Morgan’s owner, Tammy Miele, says Morgan is timid and was not socialized before adoption.

Police say Morgan was spotted on Oct. 1, Oct. 11, Oct. 15 and Oct. 22 on Millers Pond and Oct. 21 at the Lowman Crossover in the village of Wellsburg.

Authorities ask individuals to not call her name or attempt to catch her if they see her.

Police ask anyone who sights Morgan to call Animal Control at 607-735-8600.
