BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — With all the steals and deals you can find on Black Friday, you’re probably making that wish list. Stores, however, have to get ready too, and preparing for the busiest shopping day of the year takes some time.
For Tesorina Boutique, they start preparing weeks in advance.
“We are currently working on all of our shipment that will be available on Black friday. We order almost triple the stock we have,” said Desiree Depersiis, owner of the boutique.
The boutique says in years past, they’ve sold out of a lot of stock. This year, they’re planning ahead and bringing in enough so every customer can find what they’re looking for.
“We only buy in limited quantities to begin with. We already sell out of stuff, so on Black Friday, we’re just making sure we have another style to replace the sold out styles with,” said Depersiis.
While Black Friday is a chaotic time for both businesses and shoppers, the boutique says it’s a chance to connect with the local community.
“It just brings people to the area that might not normally come here, so we gain a lot of new customers, we build a lot of new relationships, and on Small Business Saturday we like to give back to our customers and the community,” said Depersiis.
During the season of giving, the boutique will also host pop-up shops featuring local vendors throughout the Southern Tier. For more information on pop-up schedules or holiday sales, you can reach them at 607-231-8472.
