Sam Palmer signs NLI to Ohio State

TOWN OF UNION (WBNG) — On Monday, Maine-Endwell field hockey standout Sam Palmer signed her national letter of intent to play field hockey at Ohio State.

The senior captain led her team to back-to-back state titles (2018, 2019) and had a remarkable four years playing for the Spartans. Palmer was named First Team All-Section all four years at Maine-Endwell, was First Team All-State in 2018 and 2019, was First Team All-Region in 2018, and Second Team All-Region in 2017.

“Honestly it was right when I walked on campus, you get that ‘wow’ feeling and the coaches made me feel so welcome and it just really felt like home even though it was 7 hours away, so I just really loved it there. It really means so much to me, because it shows how many people are supporting me and I’m really thankful they all could be here,” said Palmer.
