VESTAL (WBNG) — The Binghamton women’s basketball team kept its undefeated record Wednesday afternoon, topping St. Bonaventure to earn their 7th straight victory.
Senior guard Kai Moon led the team with 28 points, going a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line. Junior forward Olivia Ramil added a career-high 17 points.
Binghamton shot 51.9% from the field as the team tied the program record for the second-best start in program history.
Binghamton – 78 (7-0), St. Bonaventure – 67 (1-6)
“Ultimately we have to stay focused, we never take our foot off the gas pedal, we gotta play every possession like we’re down and I think for the most part tonight we did that. In the past we haven’t been able to keep leads but we constantly reiterated every time out they’re gonna make a push, they’re gonna make a push, be ready be strong with the basketball come to all the passes and we did that,” said Moon.
The Bearcats host Eastern Michigan Sunday at 1 p.m.
