BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- The CDC established the first week of December as National Influenza Vaccination Week, as rates of vaccination typically decline after November.

The Broome County Health Department is raising awareness by encouraging people to get vaccinated.

"Now would be a very good time to get your flu shot since flu isn't very widespread in Broome County," said Broome County Public Health Representative Chelsea Reome-Nedlik.

The Broome County Health Department is offering a flu shot clinic on Thursday for adults who don't have insurance from 4 to 6 p.m.
