3 injured, U.S. sailor dead after incident at Pearl Harbor Navy Shipyard

HONOLULU (AP) -- A U.S. sailor and two others are dead and another person is injured after a shooting at the Pearl Harbor Navy Shipyard at around 2:30 p.m. Hawaii time.

Military officials report the sailor shot three civilian Department of Defense employees before taking their own life. Two of the civilians died. The third, as of 11:30 p.m. EST, is being treated at a local hospital and there's no word on their condition.

At this time, no word on a motive or the identity of the sailor or the civilians.

The base has since re-opened.
